Bubble Milk Tea Mochi
Outside Box Today I review Taiwan Dessert's Mochi Bubble Milk Tea snack. For those not familiar with mochi it is a glutinous rice cake powdered in rice flour/sugar and or other powdered substances (corn starch, potato starch, etc.) The texture of a mochi is generally very sticky to the touch hence the powdered layer around the outside. Mochi can be very chewy and should be carefully eaten to avoid choking. The interior of the mochi can include many toppings including sugar, nuts, red beans, etc. The dessert mochi today contains a bubble milk tea paste with a tapioca ball in the center. Inside Box The inside of the box contained a plastic tray with each mochi being individually wrapped in a cup cake like wrapper. The box contained a moisture pack to ensure that the mochi stayed at the right level of humidity before being eaten. Below you can see the mochi with the powdering siting in the individual wrapper.
