Oreo Donut (Tim Hortons)

Overview

As a Canadian I occasionally go to Tim Hortons. Tim Hortons is known for its coffee and original donuts but Tim Hortons also sells specialty donuts occasionally. This year I haven’t been to Tim Hortons in months and decided to splurge a little. 

I chose to eat a Oreo Donut. The Oreo donut came in a small little box like a McDonald’s burger box. This was the first time I seen a donut packaged like that. The donut had half an Oreo dead center in the middle. Surrounding the cookie was Creme and then surrounding that was a glaze topped with Oreo crumbs. The donut itself was chocolate.

Biting into the donut it was like heaven. The chocolate donut was semi-sweet and the glazed part with the crumbs was delicious. The Centre Creme tasted almost like the Creme found in the center of an Oreo and the Oreo cookie well was the cherry on top. The whole donut worked well and was delicious.

My final opinion

The donut is basically an Oreo in donut form. If you like Oreos most likely you will enjoy the donut. If you don’t like Oreos then this donut might not be for you. The taste of the donut is that of a generic fluffy donut. However the toppings basically make it an Oreo donut.
